Chapter 19 - Evie  Raising a child on the island can be addictive as you may have noticed. There are more things that they can do together makes it fun, I sometimes get a laugh. But time ticks in my game and Tane's birthday is approaching.  I took the final few days to get them out and meet other children of their age and the park in Oasis is the right place to go.  It's a magnet for children.      First we must round up the gang, I'm just playing Tane, with Daniela and Nani part of the group. Tane - its a big world out there Nani, and besides, you're the socialite of the three of us. This is the big draw, the space ship thingie and as Daniela demostrates, plenty of room to make messes.  Chapter 17 - What Is Snow I have two parks - the one in Oasis Springs which I use mainly for the teens to use during the summer time. I modified them both to include more of the newer objects that came along during the development of the game, such as the skating, pools, and toddler slides.  The one in Willow Creek is targeted towards winter, with the only ice skating rink. The island people don't know much about snow. So after Winterfest, Kade took the family out to Willow Creek park and have them experience snow first hand. They were all newbies on skates. No sandcastles here, but building a snowman was just as fun. It was a good day, with the sun out just after a good snow storm. It also allow the islanders to meet some of the mainlanders. For Daniela and Tane, it was like going to Disneyland. Chapter 16 - Mua Pelam  Leila and Tane relationship was well into the green side of things.  Tane just wants her and her mother become friends again. At least that was the plan. Leila is a bit unusual, but she is an artist, and artist are usually unusual. She acts like she has a loner trait, but likes to hang close to other sims, doesn't start the conversation, but will keep it alive if invited.  She knows that she came out ahead on the separation and is making amends as best as she can. She sees Tane playing chess by himself, so she joins in. The one way to get to know each other is to pin them sims down for a good long chat playing chess. Tomorrow we'll be going to Mua Pelam while Kade does his research, hope its a good day.  Chapter 15 - Move In Having the calendar gives me the opportunity to put in break days for my Sims.  In the summertime, I have a one week summer break with one the days requiring fireworks and a barbecue and in the winter I have another one week break around Winterfest and New Years day.  I played the Ngata house at the Pier Perfection for a few days leading up to the winter break and decided to give Tane a break from his mom and spend it with the Helms. This required me to have Tane move in with the Helms, which required Oliana become friends with the Helms.  The easiest path was through Kade whom befriended Oliana enough to get Tane into the household. Oliana is a tough Sim to play for the slob trait isn't one of my favorites. I usually escape with Tane when I have a chance while playing this house.
