 Chapter 15 - Move In

Having the calendar gives me the opportunity to put in break days for my Sims.  In the summertime, I have a one week summer break with one the days requiring fireworks and a barbecue and in the winter I have another one week break around Winterfest and New Years day.  I played the Ngata house at the Pier Perfection for a few days leading up to the winter break and decided to give Tane a break from his mom and spend it with the Helms. This required me to have Tane move in with the Helms, which required Oliana become friends with the Helms.  The easiest path was through Kade whom befriended Oliana enough to get Tane into the household.

Oliana is a tough Sim to play for the slob trait isn't one of my favorites. I usually escape with Tane when I have a chance while playing this house.

Feast day. Tane was impressed with the number of games the Helms had on their computer. Leila's relationship with Tane was low and the two kept their distance between themselves at first, but still in the meantime, Kade and Leila became Tane's mentors and eventually good friends.

During this time storms were frequent and the days weren't as clear as is usually on the islands, but one day Tane and Daniela did get a chance to wear their swim suits and explore the islands.  Each beach they visited they built their sand castle to guard.

They also took advantage of the free time to get to know Nani Kealoha, who completed the task of getting all the children of the island together as true friends. Parents were optional.

With Nani on board, the three went out to discover the islands together. Tane tells Nani of his encounter with the big shark while swimming in the cove. Daniela assures Nani that it was all make believe, but the Dolphin part was true.

With the castle built next to Nani's house, it was all now official - Nani is now part of the club. 'We build castles where ever we go.'

Tane was checking out the fishing area located by Nani's house. I think he wanted to impress the girls of his fishing skills. He didn't catch a thing, not even a boot.

So naturally Daniela and Nani had to rub it in of Tane's fishing skills.

Night time came quickly so the three headed back to Reef Finery where Tane did prove is power in the game of chess to Nani. Leila was quite impress with his playing, and was almost proud of the fact.

 Kade mail ordered a tree for the holiday so they can decorate it and sing Winterfest songs.  Tane made out in the present department, where Liela gave him a easel to experiment with. She noticed that Tane spent a lot of time on the activity table whenever he came over, and being an artist herself, gave him one of her easel, even though he couldn't reach it. 
As for Daniela, she got a REAL violin. Kade and Leila are thinking of sending her off to a music school when she becomes a teen if she continues to progress.  Daniela doesn't know that.
